Oplix Technology ("Oplix", "We", "Us", or "Our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients, including game studios, their players, and visitors to our website. This Privacy Policy explains how Oplix collects, uses, processes, and safeguards personal and non-personal data in compliance with relevant data protection regulations, including the UK Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and, where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
This policy also refers to our AI Data Policy, which provides specific details on how our AI-driven services operate. Please refer to our AI Data Policy for more information on how we manage bug reports and player feedback data.
1. Information We Collect
Oplix collects two main types of data:
- • Personal Data
- • Non-Personal Data
1.1 Personal Data
Personal data refers to any information that can directly or indirectly identify an individual. Oplix collects the following categories of personal data:
- • Account Information: When game studios register for our services, we collect data such as the studio's name, email address, and payment details.
- • Communication Data: Any correspondence, including emails or other communications with our customer service or technical support teams.
- • Website Usage Information: We collect data on how visitors use our website through cookies and similar technologies. This includes IP addresses, browser types, referral pages, and other non-personally identifiable information. For more details, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
1.2 Non-Personal Data
Oplix also collects non-personal data, particularly through our AI-powered bug reporting and analysis services. As explained in our AI Data Policy, we process non-personal, anonymised data submitted by game studios through bug reports and player feedback. This includes:
- • Bug Report Metadata: Textual descriptions of bugs, timestamps, error logs, and other non-personal diagnostic data necessary for bug analysis.
- • Player Submissions: Anonymised feedback on game performance or issues encountered during gameplay.
1.3 Unintentional Submission of Personal Data in Bug Reports
While Oplix primarily processes anonymised bug reports, we understand that players (end-users) may unintentionally submit personal data when reporting issues through the bug reporting tool provided by the game studio. Game studios create templates for these bug reports, where they can flag certain questions or fields as sensitive to exclude any personal data from being processed by our AI systems.
Despite these safeguards, players may still include personal information (such as names, email addresses, or other identifiable data) in their bug reports by accident. In such cases, Oplix will take reasonable steps to review and minimise any unintentional personal data where possible.
Responsibility of Game Studios: Game studios are responsible for creating and configuring bug reporting templates that identify and flag questions or fields containing personal or sensitive information. Any personal data that is not flagged or is unintentionally submitted by players will be handled according to applicable data protection regulations, and efforts will be made to anonymise or remove such data if necessary.
2. How We Collect Data
2.1 Data Provided by Game Studios
Game studios voluntarily provide personal and non-personal data necessary to access and use Oplix's services. This includes setting up an account, providing billing details, and submitting non-personal bug reports as outlined in our AI Data Policy. Game studios are responsible for configuring templates and flagging any personal data that should not be processed by our AI services.
2.2 Automated Data Collection
We may automatically collect certain data from visitors to our website or users of our platform. This data includes:
- • Website Usage Data: Automatically collected via cookies, log files, and other tracking technologies to help us understand how visitors navigate our website. Please refer to our Cookie Policy for more details.
- • System Logs and Diagnostic Data: When game studios use our services, we may automatically collect technical data related to the performance of our platform, including error logs and performance metrics.
2.3 Data Collected from Third Parties
Oplix may receive personal data from third-party sources, such as payment processors or platforms that integrate with our services. We ensure that any third-party data shared with us complies with applicable data protection laws.
3. Purpose of Processing Data
3.1 Provision of Services
We use personal data provided by game studios to:
- • Register accounts and authenticate users.
- • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- • Provide customer support and technical assistance.
3.2 AI-Powered Bug Reporting and Analysis
As detailed in our AI Data Policy, Oplix processes anonymised bug report data and player feedback to:
- • Analyse game issues using our AI-powered tools.
- • Generate reports, prioritise bugs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to game studios.
- • Improve the quality and performance of games based on player-submitted data.
Flagged Data: Game studios can configure templates to flag specific data or fields within bug reports as sensitive or personal to exclude them from AI processing. Oplix ensures that flagged data is isolated from automated analysis and treated as personal data, following applicable data protection laws.
3.3 Transferring Personal Data to Third-Party Platforms (e.g., Jira, Trello)
When bug reports containing flagged personal data are submitted, Oplix may be required to transfer such data to third-party platforms such as Jira, Trello, or other project management tools used by game studios to track and resolve issues.
Oplix ensures that any personal data transferred to these third-party platforms is done securely and only for the purpose of delivering the agreed-upon services. We rely on these third-party platforms to be compliant with applicable data protection regulations, and personal data will be subject to their respective privacy policies.
It is the responsibility of the game studio to ensure the correct configuration of third-party platforms, and Oplix will only transfer data that is necessary to fulfil the purpose of bug tracking and issue resolution.

3.5 Legal Obligations
We may process personal data when required to comply with legal obligations, including record-keeping, fraud prevention, and responding to regulatory inquiries.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We rely on the following legal bases for processing personal and non-personal data under GDPR:
- • Consent: When users explicitly provide consent (e.g., subscribing to newsletters or accepting cookies).
- • Contractual Necessity: Processing necessary for the performance of a contract with a game studio (e.g., account setup and payment processing).
- • Legitimate Interest: Processing anonymised data for AI-powered bug analysis as part of our legitimate interest in improving game performance (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

6.1 Retention of Personal Data
Oplix retains personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining records, and complying with legal obligations. Specific retention periods depend on the data category and applicable legal requirements.
6.2 Retention of Bug Report Data
Non-personal bug report data is retained for 365 days after submission unless a different retention period is agreed with the client. Game studios can request the deletion of this data at any time, and Oplix will promptly and permanently delete it, subject to legal requirements.
6.3 Deletion Requests
Game studios or users may request the deletion of personal data by contacting support@oplix.io. Such requests will be processed promptly, typically within 7 working days, unless the data is required to be retained for legal or regulatory purposes.
7. Data Security
Oplix uses industry-standard security measures to protect all data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include:
- • Encryption: Data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3, and data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
